About the event
The Golden Spike Days Festival is one of the longest-running family events in BC and one of the most significant events in Port Moody. Established in 1976, the Festival is held annually at picturesque Rock Point Park. It attracts upwards of 30,000 people from all walks of life yearly with entertainment, food, unique events and fun-filled activities for all ages. Golden Spike Days commemorates the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway line and its arrival at the original western terminus in Port Moody, where the Last Spike was driven.
